Castle Johnson Web Development

Welcome to Castle Johnson Web Development, the website belonging to David Johnson - a professional web developer working in the city of Lancaster. The goal of this site is to log the work I have done on the web and to help others get going with their own websites. I will also be blogging from time to time so be sure to have a nosey on the blog page.

If you require a well designed simple, website then be sure to check out the web design page which will give you an idea of the sort of designs I'm capable of creating. I'm always willing to help out anyone, from a small business with the aim of advertising, to a personal website to connect to the rest of the online community (much like this website).

Upcoming Projects

Currently working on a website for my friend who is starting a painting and decorating business in London. He asked for a website and logo incorporate oranges and blues. I created a logo which resembles a stainless steel button with a paint roller backlit in blue. The rest of the website is in black and orange. A slideshow has been incorporated on the home page similar to the RFC site only this time the images are backdropped onto text to create the effect they are actually part of the banner. To preview the website click here.

Recently redesigned this very website, bringing it up to date and attempting a much more modern technique. Also replaced the blog page with a news page. This will be used to update any future work that I carry out on existing or new websites. Moved the twitter and facebook feeds to the home page also.

The Lancaster Aikikwai website has also been updated, a few more requests have come through about the colour of the website template. Certain members of the group feel that the reds represent an aggressive tone and would prefer a more positive green to replace it. Aikido is an art that is more about the defence than attack so I can understand their point of view.
